Once I set my twitter and youtube account the slider stopped showing the brown default images. In fact it broke and won’t show ANYTHING now, with no changes to the code whatsoever.

the only ting i’m missing is an automatic slide

Is there a way to remove the sliding banner on the index page? The images I have are too small and they look ugly? Also is there a way to make the search box stand out more and to put something inside or below it that says search? Right now it’s just a box that almost fades into the background and most people don’t notice it.
