why is that? You can upload this theme just like any other wordpress theme. Use the theme upload feature within the wordpress admin panel or upload it to themes folder via FTP.

Do not use remote linked photos for your gallery, the photos should be uploaded to your wordpress upload folder.

That seems weird, your timthumb is creating images in the cache folder and pass correct image url to the template. But on the browser, instead of rendering the image it remains as link itself. Who is your host? Do you have any extra plugins installed? Send me your blog access details.

okay, I get it. Most free web hosts disable such image manipulating scripts to save bandwidth. Try contacting the host and inquire whether they support timthumb script.

Guys… To show images, change permissions of the cache folder to 777. the “timthumb.php” (that he uses) docs mention that. Fixes the issue. I had the same issue of not showing photos on my host (A Small Orange). Changing permissions fixes it.

I can not open to preview Why .it's a little pity for me .

I'm trying to run photoblog on wp 3 in multisite setup using the sub domain feature. As with past timthumb MU issues the photos are not showing as the timthumb can not find the image path.

The image is there if I just point to the image in url.

Any plans to get this to work in MU or any tips for a work around.

I have a problem. I can not see the menu and the side panels (widgets). I use WP 3.0.1, but version 3.0 did not work. It's not any of the plugins I tried. Widgets will appear only when I'm in a post, but if I am in the home page will disappear. The main menu is but that does not work. They just could not see my page.

Hi Jinsona! This theme is awesome. I'm running it on a WordPress 3.0 installation with multisite-functionality activated (former WordPress MU). Now i'm running into the problem that no image-thumbnails can be created. As far as i researched the web the cause is timthumb not finding the uploaded image to resize because of the MU-functionality. Is it possible to tweak the functions.php of the them to get this to work with MU? I found some hints on the following page but i think i'm not enough an expert in coding to get this running:

I created a custom fix… to exclude individual images…

Create a custom field on the photos.
Call it “Exclude”.
For images you want included in the slideshow, assign the value of 0, for images you want excluded assign the value of 1.

Modify the photoblog.php file as follows:

Hi Jinsona … just tried this photoblog template and I really like it! In fact, I like is so much I am converting another online photo site (using Coppermine) to the wordpress

It is time consuming however – Is it possible to BULK ADD photos to the Gallery? What I have been doing is bulk adding images via the Media Upload, but then go into the /Photos/Add New/ section to individually add each image. Honestly, I don't even care about a title for each image and actually in the title tag just copied/pasted the same title to all pictures of the gallery category name. The photos are identifiable on the server (IMG_0001.jpg etc) but now all the Gallery pictures have the photoURL/title-of-post-1 photoURL/title-of-post-2 etc. So, while this isn't pretty but solves my purpose … I still wonder if there is a better way to just mass upload images for a particular gallery?

Hi again … (while I'm here …..) I thought I would ask … is there a way to insert the “more” statement to appear on the /blog.php template page? I tried inserting it everywhere and it seems to ignore that .. I have also tried the “Evermore” plugin to do this automatically, but it doesn't work.

OK For those who’s Gallery Page NOT SHOWING their all Galleries.
I found the solution, Please check all of your galleries name are same as their slug names

For Example:I have created a gallery named it ” City Scapes” then its slug name should be “city-scapes” (except quotes ” “)

or i changed “City Scapes” to “City Scapes For Greater Noida” please be sure to change slug to “city-scapes-for-greater-noida” all in lowercase with dashes in place of spaces ( without quotes ” ” ).

Woolaa you can see your galleries now.

And just remember this EMPTY GALLERY i.e with zero photos in it, never shown in Gallery Page.

I solved the problem. You should use default permalink type from settings.

I am using a theme of yours (released around June) that I thought was credited to the wrong person (it wasn’t Jinson), so I changed it to say Jinson, and now the tabs for the pages don’t show up. I realize the footer is probably encoded and was wondering if you could help me un-encode it since you have decided to release themes with unencoded footers.

In the theme “photoblog” when i click on an image in the gallery page it displays the image fully with the default border nice and even around the photo. When i click on any image shown in the “latest photos” section the photo only fills 3 quarters of the image border and leaves a considerable gap at the side of the border. How can i fix this please.

I have the same problem here. I can’t make the main menu to show up.

Here is the solution for those can’t show image in first page, this is about “mod_security”.
open .htaccess in your web folder (/www or /public_html) then add the following code in the end:

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

save and exit….haha you can see your images now!

You even can’t find .htaccess? OMG! show all files (unhide) in your web folder that you can find it.

The thumbnails won’t show but when I click on it, it directs me to the exact photo so I don’t think the script has problems – not sure though. I have 777 permissions in timthumb.php and cache if you must know. I also use 000webhost. Thank you!

Good Theme – Although there seems to be a slight bug on the galleries page displaying the ‘slug’ rather than the ‘title’. Effectively this means you can only use single word slugs unless someone knows how to change this?

I have the same problem. It’s a very good theme and works fine ! But you have some bugs with the 3.1 version of wordpress.
- Firefox can’t open the picture in the mode gallery when you click on the thumbnail. But IE works fine !
- When you use the diaporama, the “portrait” mode have problems, the picture has cut. We have a solution for that. We can change the function “ZP” 1 by O for escape the zoom but it’s not perfect.
- You must refresh pages when you open pictures in large mode for find the origin.

Can’t figure out how to get more than 6 galleries to show on gallery page. Somewhere in some file I know there is a snippet limiting the query to the first 6 or 7. The taxonomy-gallery file has limits set in the back end but there seems to be nowhere to limit gallery page thumbnails. Any one else have this problem?

Go to: Settings ->Reading ->Blog pages show at most
This will change the number of thumbnails shown on the page.
I have not figured out how to change the number of thumbs on the page that lists all of the galleries.
